I always found it hard to follow either new or updated Drupal modules. Since I could not find an RSS feed for published modules, I created a Python script that periodically scraps the modules page and generates an RSS feed.
Eventually I did find the official feeds though:
They are quite useful, but:
- you get modules, themes and translations all in one feed and there is no way to distinguish between them
- also, you cannot distinguish between brand new contributions and updates to existing stuff
If the items had a category for type (module vs theme vs translation) and one category to tell if this is something brand new then the feeds could be split up using something like pipes.
